Step 1

The first thing you’ll need to have is your registry already set up (of course). Once you’re ready to withdraw and transfer your funds to put them to use, move on to step 2.

Step 2

Head on over to the “Bank Details” section of your registry and link your checking account by providing the bank details.

Note: Savings accounts are not eligible for withdrawals according to The Knot. Plus, many savings accounts charge a fee if you withdraw from them.

Once you’ve set this up, you now have a place for your cash funds to land when it’s gifted.

Step 3

Hit “Save” and you’re all set!

When friends and family gift you money on your registry at The Knot, the funds will now directly land in your designated bank (checking) account.

And it’s important to note that some deposits can take up to 5 business days to appear in your bank account. This is for security measures on your bank’s behalf.

When Will The Funds Deposit In Your Account?

As soon as a friend or family makes a cash contribution to your registry, The Knot will immediately notify you via email.

From there, it’ll take one week (5 business days, not including holidays or weekends) for the cash contribution to land in your bank account.

This time frame is for security measures on your bank’s behalf.

But you don’t need to wait until the cash lands in your checking account to thank your guests. You can send them a thank-you note right from the moment the contribution notification lands in your inbox.
